ve used solar power chargers before, but it was not possible to measure the output directly because the solar power was used to recharge a battery that was built into the unit. However, the Sol-Wing solar panel has no battery - the output goes directly to a USB charging cable, so it was possible to measure the output with a USB power meter. When I did this, the results were pretty impressive. The Sol-Wing was recharging my smartphone directly with almost half an Amp of current. That's pretty impressive for barely three-quarters of a square foot of solar panels.
Physically the panels fold up into a compact size for carrying. When they're opened, nylon loops allow the panels to be secured to the ground, on a backback, or whichever way works best to catch the sun's rays.
The Sol-Wing solar panel is ideal for times when an electrical power source is not available, such as for hiking or camping, or during emergencies when the power is out. If the sun is out, you've got power.

Took it backpacking for 2 weeks in New Mexico, kept all of our cellphones and cameras for an 11 person crew charged and ready. No issues with breakage despite being jammed in a backpack half the time and strapped to the outside of the pack for the other half and hauled around for many miles. Charged a 5000mah device in 4 hrs when oriented towards sun per instructions, so it was definately performing as specified. Well made, lightweight, durable product that I would recommend to anyone.
